Sheet ice machine evaporator technology is more mature, relatively simple structure, sheet ice machine is cheap, more favored by the market, sheet ice machine production and processing cost is lower.

Also for 1 ton ice maker, the power of the ice machine is 4.6kw, and the cooling capacity is 5.6kw. The pipe ice machine requires 5.4kw and cooling capacity 8.1kw.

Ice sheet machine is generally used, Danfoss/valley wheel scroll compressor. Tube ice machines require Bitzer/Lefcon piston compressors.

Tube ice machines require larger storage tanks, oil separators, oil storage tanks, solenoid valves, and complex lines.
